What to expect on a Yoga Retreat?

For a lot of us humans it is hard to get out of our well trodden path, although this path might not suit us at all anymore. We are creatures of habit. We know that taking a quality break will either save our health, our give us inner peace and thus better our relationship/s, family and work-life, and still we can’t get ourselves to take that so much needed break. We also don’t know if another holiday is the answer; and then someone tells us about a yoga retreat which sounds interesting, but really ”what is that”? Some will say that they have never done yoga and it might be too hard so a yoga retreat is not an option for their quality “time out”, others might not be sure because they don’t know anyone to go with them, others want to go on their own or want to be with their partner or friend who is just not into yoga, and then there are the ones who have done yoga for some time with their great yoga teacher who doesn’t offer yoga retreats and they don’t know if they want to do a yoga retreat with someone they don’t know. In any of these cases it is always “a leap of faith one has to take” you could say - or following your inner voice. When you know change is needed and you are looking for growth or moving out of stagnation then a yoga retreat can be just the right door-opening for you. A Yoga Retreat will always give you as much as you are willing to be open and receive. - Questions? Please send them to me shaktiprem@icloud.com and I am happy to connect with you.
